Interest in the manufacture of polymers from renewable resources has never been higher,as evidenced by the recent announcements from Dow Chemical Co.and Cargill,Inc.So far,though,the real commercial development of natural-oil-based polyols(NOPs)is still on a small scale-probably no more than a few thousand tonnes worldwide-but with an ever-growing number of participants around the world,as the various items here indicate.
