Bechtel Joins B&W’s Small Modular Reactor Project

Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) Nuclear Energy unleashed another carefully orchestrated media event last week, as it announced in a Washington, DC press conference that it was bringing the Bechtel Group into an alliance to develop a 125 MW nuclear reactor. Yet beyond the the announcement theatrics was the uncomfortable reality that the project schedule, first announced a year ago, appears to have slipped.
