The authors investigated the effectiveness of Bioglue, a bovine serum albumin and glutaraldehyde adhesive/sealant, in preventing renal fracture and hemorrhage in a porcine renal cryoabla-tion model in the setting of a nonsurvival randomized pilot study. The question is: Does Bioglue, by being a very effective sealant that creates a response consisting of granulation tissue surrounding the glued area inhibit the migration of inflammatory and immune cells into the cryoablation site, which may function to scavenge and destroy viable tumor cells?
