摘要

We read with interest the article by Sarica et al, entitled "Role of Overweight Status on Stone-Forming Risk Factors in Children: A Prospective Study." It is well established that obesity in adults is associated with altered excretion of urinary solutes that could lead to a more lithogenic status, such as increased oxalate and diminished citrate. Their article explores this idea in the obese pediatric population and concludes that these alterations are also present in this setting
