Despite apparent, appropriate patient-selection and surgical technique, hemorrhage associated with laparoscopic partial ne-phrectomy (LPN) remains significant, with rates as high as 10% and transfusion rates as high as 15%. A significant percentage of patients also require reoperation, angiographic procedures, and in some cases nephrectomy. Hemorrhage can occur intraoper-atively, perioperatively, or delayed (to a maximum of 40% of those with hemorrhage). This article demonstrates a 2.3% incidence of renal artery pseudoaneurysm after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in a series of 259 patients. This is consistent with other small series in the published data.
