TO THE EDITOR:A little over a decade ago, Crawford and Blumenstein proposed a substaging classification for metastatic prostate cancer. This has held up well over the last decade. But the continuing evolution of therapeutic interventions in this area suggests that a slight modification of this system may be in order.
