We read with great interest the article recently published by Eisenberg et al, in your esteemed journal, on the management of retained foreign bodies in the urinary tract. Most cases in the article were related to the "forgotten stent." In the United Kingdom, Lynch et al have reported on the development of an electronic stent registry, which was found to be reliable, useable, and may help in preventing these scenarios in the future
