A 61-year-old man who had undergone bilateral hip replacements for degenerative joint disease suffered a fall on ice in March 2008. He was examined in a local emergency room for an orthopedic evaluation. During workup, plain radiographs of the pelvis showed an incidental calcified left upper quadrant mass.
