A review with 109 refs. covering applications of active C including catalyst carriers, thermal methods of regene-ration of active C (except when containing heavy metal salts or toxic substances), chemical regeneration involving removal of active metals and metal salts (leaching, extraction, complexation), and microwave mineralization of C sorbents.
