Bubble,plug and turbulent structures of fluidized beds(particle size 0.9-10.9 mm)initial fluidization velocity 0.87-1.28 m/s)in a heat exchanger with insert were recorded by camera image anal,to det.the effect of material properties on the fluidization velocity during the combustion of solid fuels.With increasing the gas velocity,a transition of structures from bubble to turbulent one was evidenced.The phenomenon was also simulated numerically to calc.the surface concn.profiles.A satisfactory agreement of exptl.and calcd.data was obsd.
