2-Methyl-2-propen-1-ol and 3-chloro-2-methyl-1-propene were epoxidized with 30% H2O2 in MeOH as solvent over Ti silicate catalysts (TS-1,TS-2,Ti-Beta) as autogenous or atmospheric pressure.The second method run over TS-1 gave 2-methylglycidol and 2-methylopichlorohydrin in 20.2 and 56.7 mol% yields,resp.Applications,property data,and several routes to the products are summarized 40 rafs.
