Due to their economic values and versatility,melting shops with medium frequency induction furnaces findwider and wider application. Flexibility of the modern techniqueof converting the frequency together with intelligent systems ofswitching on inductor coils enabled the constructing ofinstallations for special metallurgical tasks. Optimizationactivities make the automatique change in the wide range offrequencies (e.g. from 50 to 3000 Hz) possible, accoding to theinstantaneous metallurgical requirements. In order cases theyenable to concentrate the power at the arbitrary parts of the coilheight. The hitherto existing development of medium frequencyinduction furnaces allows to evaluate them as modern andversatile metallurgical aggregates.
