CYCLICAL ECONOMIC SITUATION IN EUROPE TOWARDS THE END OF THE YEAR 1999

Analysing statistical data concerningeconomy in the years 1998 and 1999, the author makesan evaluation of the present economic situation inEuropean countries and advises making carefulcomparisons in the domain of economic activities.Economic factors concerning the year 1998 in theEuropean Union member states and in the Countries whichare preparing themselves to enter the EU are presented.Such factors like the gross domestic product andconsumption prices in the above mentioned Countries andalso in Canada, the USA and Japan in the years 1998-2000are given. For the years 1999 and 2000 these datapresent only the estimated values. Assuming the cyclingeconomic scheme of changes in economy, the Author hasdetermined the actual situation and made a forecastregarding the revival of economy in the year 2000.
