Production of castings of vermicular cast iron in the Inmold technology in the moulding lines with the horizontal parting piane

Vermicular cast iron due to relatively good mechanical proper-ties, high thermal conductivity and good technological properties is more and more often applied in modern constructional solutions. However, there are still large unused reserves and application areas of this material, mainly in the motorization, metal-forming and foundry industries. It is generally considered that this is one of the best cast iron grades for structures operating under heat fatigue conditions, such as: metal moulds, ingot moulds, collectors of exhaust systems, diesel engine blocks, etc.
