Supramolecular architectures with complex structures and morphologies have received increasing attention in various areas including nanoscience, supramolecular chemistry,[1] and soft matter, not only because of their versatile functions (e.g., optical, electrical, and electrochemical properties),[2] but in some cases also because of their application in template-directed synthesis.[3C5] For instance, several reports have dealt with utilizing spheres, fibrous, or tubular architectures of supramolecular assemblies as structural templates for the synthesis of low-dimensional nanomaterials.[6]
