The day to day effects of the environment and cow management practices are often overlooked as causal factors for poor health and reproductive performance. In this article the effects of a major environmental stressor and the importance of precision cow management practices are illustrated in detail as causes of poor reproductive performance using data taken from the author's own caseload.
