Inner Mongolia to Construct a Series of Major Coal Chemical Projects

The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region intends to use the clean gasification projects as its flagship enterprises in an attempt to actively set up a network of coal chemical plants.Recently it plans to construct a host of key demonstration projects,including a 600 kt/a MTO unit,a 360 kt/a PE unit and a 310 kt/a PP unit that will be jointly constructed in Baotou city by the Shenhua Group and Dow Chemical Company,and an 1.8 Mt/a coal to methanol unit,a 600 kt/a MTO unit and a 310 kt/a PP unit that are to be set up in Baotou city jointly by the Shenhua Group,the Hongkong Kerry Chemical Company,the Shanghai Huayi Co.,and the Baotou Tomorrow Science and Technology Stock Company with the investment totalling 11.56 billion RMB.
