SBP volatility in August (as expressed by the highest price) held in block 4 for a fifth month, following one month in block 3 back in March. Block 4 averaged 58.74 pounds/MWh, compared to 56.54 pounds/MWh in July (block 4). Block 4 was also the highest price block during August 2008, with an average of 118.21 pounds/MWh. SSP volatility also held in block 4, with a price of 32.45 pounds/MWh, down on last month's high of 32.56 pounds/MWh (block 4).
