Aggregate volume of foreign trade in services in the first quarter of 2003 constituted USD 1,297.8 mn and augmented by 13.6 percent versus the corresponding period of the last year, including export of services for the total amount of USD 1,000.8 mn (growth by 12.3 percent) and import-USD 297.0 mn (increase by 18.1 percent). Positive trade balance of foreign trade made USD 703.8 mn. Ukraine trades in services with 188 countries. Transportation services (85.6 percent) topped the list of Ukrainian service export, while the major share in import belonged to state (35.8 percent), transportation (24.3 percent), and various business, professional, and technical (12.2 percent) services.
