UKRAINE'S PARTNER IN THE ALPS

Austria has recently turned into one of the most active business partners of Ukraine in Europe. Ukrainian market is treated as quite promising in the Alpine republic; among the CIS member-states, Ukraine is the second largest and important trade partner of Austria. Situation and outlooks for Ukrainian-Austrian economic collaboration are discussed in the interview with Christian Gessl, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Austria to Ukrain. Despite its rather small territory, Austria is an important trade partner of Ukraine. By the volume of trade with Ukraine, Austria ranks the fifth among states of the European Union. We are satisfied with how bilateral trade between the two countries is developing. The volume of commodity turnover in Ukrainian-Austrian trade has boosted by 110 percent over the last three years.
