NEW MMP PLANT FOR ARKEMA

Arkema and Novus announced the start-up of a 3-methylthiopropionaldehyde(MMP)plant in Beaumont(US).MMP is one of the key intermediates in the manufacturing of the world's leading source of supplemental liquid methionine for feeding,Alimet.Acording to the company,the new plant,built and operated by Arkema,will enable Novus to fully utilise its production capacity of 285 mt of Alimet per year,while also providing a new supply of MMP.
