摘要

The monofluoromethyl motif is commonly found in a range of biologically active compounds. Nevertheless, this structure of asymmetric synthesis has not been thoroughly studied. To the best of our knowledge, there was no useful reagent available to achieve this purpose recently. In this mini-review, we introduce 1-fluorobis(phenylsulfonyljmethane, FBSM, as a newly designed synthetic equivalent to the fluoromethide species, and its application for enantioselective nucleophilic monofluoromethylation reactions.
