摘要

Fluoro-organophilic montmorillonites (FOMMTs) were used to prepare fluoroelastomeric/clay nanocomposites through a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) silane precursor sol-gel polymerization. X-ray diffraction studies (XRD) revealed that, while the addition of unmodified clay slightly increases the basal spacing, FOMMTs lead to highly delaminated morphologies. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) confirms the strong interaction between fluoro-organomodified clays and the fluoropolymer matrix.
