摘要

In the article "Illness Beliefs About Heart Disease and Adherence to Secondary Prevention Regimens," which appeared in volume 70 of Psychosomatic Medicine, on pages 942-948, it was incorrectly stated that more serious consequences of CAD were independently associated with better adherence (p 946, first paragraph in first column; see also p 945, second to last paragraph in second column above Discussion) and that "younger patients with CAD are significantly less likely to adhere to secondary prevention regimens" (p 946, first paragraph in second column). The correct interpretation of the data is that endorsement of less serious consequences of coronary artery disease and younger age were significantly associated with better adherence to secondary prevention regimens.
