Franz Clemens Honoratus Hermann Brentano (January 16, 1838-March 17,1917) was an influential German philosopher and psychologist In 1874 Brentano published his major work: Psychology from an Empirical Standpoint and from 1874 to 1895 taught at the University of Vienna where he had among his students Edmund Husserl, Rudolf Steiner, Sigmund Freud and many others.
