Holy Toledo! Coke plant once again in Ohio spotlight

In the I'll-believe-it-when-I-see-it category, U.S. Coking Group's proposed FDS coke plant appears to be a little closer to reality, but groundbreaking on the Toledo, OH, facility is still quite a ways off. The beleaguered project, which has suffered numerous setbacks over the last couple of years, is once again having its permit to install reviewed by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. Upon completion of the review, the EPA will either propose a denial of the permit or write a draft permit. A 30-day public hearing process would follow, and then the permit would be denied or given final approval.
