Crutchfield: 10-20 percent of CAPP production now 'on the margin'

Some 10 to 20 percent of Central Appalachian production is "what we would call on the margin," given today's market conditions, and subject to rationalization efforts, according to one of Alpha Natural Resources' top hands. Kevin Cmtchfield, Alpha executive vice president, also happens to be one of the more experienced, astute players on the Central App scene. The Alpha exec stopped short of predicting a CAPP production bloodbath, but his numbers certainly don't preclude such an outcome.
