Coal prices rock buyers as global scarcity abounds. Xcoal offered to SAIL 300 dollars/metric tonne FOB East Coast for 140,000 tonnes of U.S. Twin Rocks brand coking coal, McCloskey's Coal Report indicated. SAIL had tendered for 300,000 tonnes, and all it could get was the single, partial offering. Freight is thought to be 110 dollars/tonne. SAIL might not make an award. But it might have no choice.
