Coal dryers being constructed to refine lignite, cut emissions in ND

A joint venture, between Great American Energy, Great River Energy, and North American Coal Corp., to incorporate eight dryers to refine lignite - through a process called beneficiation - and cut down on pollution is currently underway in Underwood, ND, according to the Associated Press. The dryers will be fueled by waste heat from the Coal Creek Station power plant.
