Nevada Senator Reid: No more coal-fired power needed

Apparently the Senate's Majority Leader has things on his mind besides ways in which to bolster sagging public opinion of the lawmaking body he leads. Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has informed generators that his state doesn't want any more coal, the Associated Press reported. Reid mailed letters to that effect to the senior executives Sierra Pacific Resources, Sithe Global Power, LS Power and Dynegy, all of which have coal projects on the drawing board for the state.
