As coal prices stay flat costs continue to increase as fuel pushes inflation higher

Coal prices don't appear to be going up anytime soon but the prices to mine the stuff haven't slowed down. A source said that if a Central Appalachian company is able to make anything at current prices - call them 58.50 dollars/ton - they probably won't be for long. While prices have eroded costs have continued to creep up and the source believes that the creep is liable to turn into a sprint if indicators are right.
