Xinergy sees big increases in sales revenue and margins per ton in first quarter

Knoxville-based Xinergy released its first quarter earnings report Tuesday and said its revenue from coal sales increased 448 percent to $43.1 million while its gross margin per ton increased 583 percent when compared to the first quarter of 2010. Coal revenues were $43.1 million in the first quarter of 2011, up from $7.9 million in Ql 2010 and gross margin per ton increased to $14.42 in the first quarter up from $2.11 in the same period in 2010.
