Multiple sources agree with an estimate that 50 million-plus tons of CAPP coal will find its way onto the met side - either into the rapidly overheating export market or the steadily recovering domestic market. It's not hard to find 30 million tons of CAPP coal to assign to Hampton Roads as met export product. As much as 2 million tons could be exported to the met side through the Gulf. Add another 20 million-plus tons for domestic and Canadian usage, and you've reached a total of more than 50 million tons.
