Care to contango? Evolving market makes for anxious Eastern utilities, RFPS abound

The Eastern market is heating up considerably, and there are signs that some utilities are anxious to get some stuff done sooner than later. In the river market, Dayton Power & Light will have an RFP on the street, if it doesn't already. Look for both Central Appalachian and Illinois Basin suppliers to take a run at that business. Illinois Basin suppliers also have a new RFP from Tampa Electric to consider. TECO is looking for 1.5 million tons/year of coal to supply the Big Bend generating station from 2009-2014.
