摘要

Alliance Resource Partners has reduced by approximately 1.5 million tons its coal production expectations for 2009, but the company is far from being knee deep in the gloom that has enveloped much of the industry. In fact, Alliance still anticipates extremely strong performances. Alliance made 1.56 dollars/partner unit in Ql '09, easily surpassing Wall Street estimates, as income increased 68 percent from the 2008 quarter. "With substantial coal supply commitments reflecting improved contract pricing, ARLP entered 2009 well positioned for a strong start and we delivered -posting new records for quarterly revenues, EBITDA and net income," Joseph W. Craft III, president and CEO, said.
