Lord Andrew Adonis Biography: Former Secretary of State for Transport, Schools Minister and adviser to Tony Blair. In summary: Addressing the subject of transformational change and leadership, Lord Adonis looked back on his introduction of the revolutionary Teach First model into the state education sector. In doing so, he identified three core themes around which reform should take place: leadership, people and passion. He also emphasised the importance of trying your own product: as Secretary of State for Transport he regularly took the Tube to work despite colleagues being convinced he would be recognised by fellow commuters.
