As the UK continues to count the cost of the deepest economic downturn in almost a century and the government takes drastic measures to reduce its burden of debt, the country's poorest communities are struggling. According to figures from the Institute for Fiscal Studies, govern?ment plans to cut public spending by ?83bn over the next four years will hit the most deprived areas the hardest.
