Change programmes fail to address continuity

Executive teams are failing to consider business continuity when implementing major change programmes, according to the Business Continuity Institute. The BCI surveyed over 650 organisations worldwide and found that while 75% had implemented major projects affecting the strategy of the organisation, fewer than 16% had applied business continuity management in projects. Participants admitted carrying out acquisitions, mergers and reorganisations without business continuity and also, worryingly; the outsourcing of key proc?esses and introduction of new products.
