摘要

In pharmaceutical synthesis the selection of the best strategy for the manufacture of an API is very important to minimize the production costs.Many common intermediates used in pharmaceutical applications use alkyl,alkoxy,hydroxy,halogenated and amino substituted aryl compounds.Usually,aromatic nitriles are formed in batch processes via diazonium salts formed in turn from halogen compounds by the Rosenmumd von-Braun reaction using either CuCN or alkali metal cyanide salts and nickel or palladium catalysts.A second possibility is the aminolysis of aromatic acid chlorides followed by water elimination,performed together in multistep synthesis routes.
