In reviewing the skills and abilities of second-party auditors, the results so far imply that a long-term vision of auditing will also need to apply the knowledge gained from this research to internal auditors. Since August 1998. John Killman and Graham Dawes, of People Focused Processes Ltd, have been researching what differentiates the excellent auditor from the competent auditor. They present the findings of the initial research.
