From Minuteria Pizza and Hot Stuffed Mushrooms to Brigitte Diet Mango-Curry Wok, Tung Lok's Mini Mooncakes and high-quality sushi, there were plenty of new recipes to try and buy. As anticipated, the Oct. 8-12, 2005, running of the Anuga in Koln, Germany, proved once again why the biennial event is regarded by many as the world's greatest platform for the display of international food product innovation. The numbers speak for themselves: 6,294 suppliers from 108 countries were in attendance (comparedwith 6,038 in 2003), occupying 286,000 square meters of space. Non-German companies represented over 80% of the exhibitors, while 55% of the buyers were from abroad. The trade visitor count numbered 161,000 hailing from 160 countries -up slightly from two years previous.
