I love the sketch on the TV show Little Britain with the bored travel agent moronically trotting out the phrase: 'Computer says no'. Could there have been a better piece of comedic writing that crystallises the way computers have become positioned as the all-seeing eye and the final arbiter on almost every decision in the modern world?
