As supplier diversity continues to hustle its way to the forefront of business strategy, Shell tries to provide equal opportunities for suppliers across its business. Supplier diversity-means providing open access and opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses by ensuring fair and equal competition for procurement opportunities of quality goods and services. It is thought that the minority population is the fastest growing segment of society in the US and it's estimated it will be at SO per cent as early as 2020. Shell has a corporate supply diversity programme that provides opportunity and access to people that historically have not had such opportunities.
