Two equally notable though very different individuals helped to raise the profile of accredited certification in November. Lord Sainsbury and sports personality of the year, Steve Redgrave addressed a formal lunch held to promote accreditation. As the unresolved problem of unaccreditated certification continues to rumble on, UKAS launched its campaign to increase awareness within the business community. Lord Sainsbury addressed attendees from the certification and quality business world. Although his support for accredited certification was strong, he made it clear that the law would not be changed to outlaw 'cowboy' certification bodies.
