A German man named only as Frank S. who weighs 160kg - twice as much as the average male - has won a court case he brought against Mercedes. He claimed his car was unable to take his weight and continually broke down because of this. Mercedes refused to release him from the lease, stating it wasn't their fault. But the Stutgart court ruled in favour of the 37-year-old salesman who, in his defence said: 'I had to take it for repairs 13 times for 21 different malfunctions in the first 20,000 km, and they still wouldn't let me have my money back'. He has now been refunded and plans to buy a larger vehicle.
