Making provisions for their old age is not high on the British public's agenda: barely one in three people (34 per cent) has any type of pension, with women (29 per cent) lagging well behind me (40 per cent).Even more worryingly, the December 'Wealth Tracker Index' report by Alliance and Leicester shows hat the pension gap between the sexes is getting increasingly-wider (up from 27 and 37 per cent respectively in July).
