As equality and diversity issues have steadily moved up the social and political agenda, yet more legislation covering workers' rights on race, sex and disability discrimination have been introduced over the past few years. In December next year, new laws will be in place outlawing discrimination in employment on the grounds of religion, belief and sexual orientation. And by December 2006, discrimination in employment and training on the grounds of age will also become unlawful.
