摘要

The support can play an catalytic activity of heterogeneous catalysts including for "single-site" supported catalysts in reactions such as hydrogenation, polymerization and homologation of alkenes as well as in alkane homologations (hydrogenoiysis and metathesis). The effect of the support is due to the formation and the stabilization of unusually stable and yet reactive species fcationic metal-alkyt centres, stable metal hydrides or masked μ-methyiidene species). Additionally, it can also be due to the strong adsorption of alkenes on alumina, which can greatly modify reaction rates, in some cases positively and in others negatively.
