Should the western part of the sky appear dark as seafood mongers greet the sunrise of 2009, their natural instinct will be to brace for bad weather. But for seafood marketers, this year's voyage into uncharted economic waters is bound to set apart the expert helmsmen from the ordinary seamen, as skills in trimming sails and tacking through powerful, gale-force winds will likely be put to the test.
