摘要

A preview of the European Seafood Exposition to be held in Brussels during April 2005 is described. Fish and seafood products will be exhibited, together with coatings, sauces and seasonings, and services such as quality control, information technology, and finance. The Seafood Prix d'Elite, recognising quality fish and seafood products developed for the European market, will be presented. Prizes will also be awarded for Best Retail Product and Best Foodservice Product. New products being introduced include ready-to-use sushi toppings featuring tuna, prawn tapas, dill-marinated salmon and microwaveable fillets with shallots, seafood-based ready meals, retail packs of crab meat, breaded fish rolls, wild salmon and cod meals, tilapia products, IQF fish portions coated with sauce, frozen ready meals and prepared entrees, low-fat frozen fish and seafood products, Nile perch, squid and cuttlefish, fish cakes and chilled herrings, surimi, shrimp and baby octopus.
